The course will introduce key topics from the history of philosophy, and from current philosophical debates. We will study the theory of knowledge and ethics, starting with the ancient Greek philosophers and ending in the Middle Ages. The course is for people who have little or no experience of philosophy but are curious. Can we know anything about reality for certain? Are we trapped inside the matrix? Does it matter?
