Join us in this enjoyable and stimulating course and in which we examine major philosophical trends and contributions made by great minds of our time. Keep your mind active, challenge your ideas about the world around us and see the meaning of our existence from different perspectives.
In this eight weeks journey of short presentations and discussion of contemporary influential ideas, we will examine political thinking that questions the relevance of ideology, evolutionary democracy and public engagement with great minds such as Slavoj Zizek, Noam Chomsky and others. We will discuss Philosophy of mind, Analytical Philosophy of Language, Feminism, Existentialism, Constructivism and Critical Realism with contributions from such great thinkers as Catherine Malobou, John Searle Jürgen Habermas, Roy Bhaskar and others. The focus is on the trend and not on particular philosophers. This is a fascinating course that will keep you thinking and revaluating your own views about the meaning of life, relationships and the world we call our home.
