Watercolour Summer School 2017: Observation to Expression
Indulge yourself with 5 full days immersed in your own creativity. This summer school is suitable for anyone who wants to learn more about the potential of watercolour paints and to develop ways of exploiting their expressive quality.
The beginning of the week will offer tutor lead experimentation that tackles the challenge of weton-wet, allowing the paint to do what it does best and learning how to use it in situations where it will work to your advantage. Later in the week you will have the opportunity to be more self directed. You will create a series of pieces of work, preparatory sketches from observation through to expressive, gestural paintings that exploit the wet-on-wet quality of watercolours. Come with an open mind, a spirit of adventure and a willingness to take some risks.
