We all enjoy a glass of wine. But have you ever wondered what’s involved before the wine gets to your table? In this one day course, suitable for all abilities, we’ll explore, tasting along the way, the path from the grape on the vine through the winemaking process right to your glass. We’ll look at where the grape is grown and what happens in the winery and then see how these affect what you are tasting. The cost of the wines tasted (max £12 per person, payable to the tutor on the day) will be shared.
Please bring a packed lunch.

Tutor – Ian Abrahams
I started my wine career taking visitors round Harvey’s wine museum in Bristol where I also studied for and passed the Wines and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) Diploma, a high level professional qualification.
I now work as a freelance Wine Educator, certified by WSET to run their courses which are aimed at professionals starting out in the wine industry.
But, you don’t have to be a professional – or even have any expertise – to enjoy one of my courses as I love to run wine evenings and courses for local organisations, groups and individuals where my aim is to make learning about wine approachable, free from jargon and fun.
I also write a regular wine blog, Bristol Wine Blog, which can be found at www.winetalksandtastings.wordpress.com
