Body/Mind Awareness through Movement (during lockdown)
50mins of gentle exercise, sitting and standing, with a 10min meditation at the end delivered using Zoom. Make sure you have about 2m x 2m space and a chair.
These sessions aim to raise body awareness, increase flexibility and improve posture through breathing, stretching and gentle exercise & dance/movement to music. These classes fuse together elements of Yoga, Pilates, Franklin method, mindfulness and dance. Suited to all levels and abilities. No previous experience necessary.
***UPDATE – Due to Coronavirus, course W14C will be taught as an online course. Saara Nelson will be offering 50 minutes of gentle exercise and a 10 minute meditation session delivered through Zoom. I am a Dance Movement Psychotherapist with a background in physical theatre, music and a wide range of different dance/movement styles.
My body and movement work are influenced by my background, as well as my interests in the power of creativity and understanding how the body and mind are connected.
I am also a musician and Argentine Tango teacher, dancer and performer.
