I work across formats and scales, from a single folded sheet to a fully cased hardback, and I take as much pleasure in a cereal box cover as a beautifully cloth-bound spine. My approach is playful and accessible; traditional techniques made your own, with no fuss and no leather in sight.

Alongside bookbinding I spent over a decade teaching Graphic Design in further and higher education, which gave me a deep respect for the way making things by hand changes how you think and see. I have also spent years running workshops, designing learning experiences from scratch and finding ways to make complex or unfamiliar things feel within reach. I believe the simplest structure, made with intention and good materials, can tell a powerful story.
My sessions are designed to feel achievable from the very first week and to go as far as you want to take them. I love working with new learners and bring the same warmth and curiosity to every workbench I stand at. I’m looking forward to making books with you.
