I am a qualified teacher with over 20 years’ experience in professional teaching. Since 2013, I have taught German and Dutch as foreign languages at various institutions in Bristol, working with learners ranging from complete beginners to advanced levels. I am also a passionate language learner myself, currently studying Spanish and Italian. This gives me valuable insight into the challenges of learning a new language as an adult, and informs how I prepare my lessons and support my students.

I believe in creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment. My teaching philosophy emphasises that learning should be fun, joyful, interactive and, where possible, a mutual exchange of ideas. I design lessons that encourage active participation and build confidence.
