What are the language courses like?
The groups are friendly and encouraging and give lots of opportunity for feedback and sharing of ideas. If you are looking to make a start with a language course or you are a more experienced speaker looking to brush up or improve on your conversation skills our courses and workshops are the perfect place for you.

Course discussions will enable learners to listen and speak to gain confidence and to better enable them to converse fluently.
Do I need previous experience?
We have beginners classes for those completely new to the chosen language that do not require any previous experience. However, as we offer a range of levels to suit different abilities, please take the quick quiz to match your language skills to a suitable level.

Generally, intermediate classes are for people with some abilities and wish to take their skills to the next level.

Improvers and advance classes are for those with quite a bit more experience who wish to continue to develop their skills.
Where are the classes held?

Are refreshments available?
Yes, we have a morning and an afternoon tea/coffee break at Stoke Lodge.

Drinks are served in the main building (just next to the annexe) and we charge £1 for a cup of tea, coffee or herbal tea with biscuits.

Tea breaks are a great way to step away from your project, grab a drink and catch up with learners on your course or those on other courses in the building. Its always a nice social part of the day where everyone gets the chance to stretch their legs and refresh.
