Summer is here and here are some dates you need to save in your calendar.
Adult Learning – Summer Open Day
At Stoke Lodge on Tuesday 12 July 2pm to 7 pm
Come along and join us for displays and exhibitions, information on courses, tea, cake and good company!
New Course Guide
Our 2016-2017 Course guide is in the works and due to be available at the end of June.
This year we are delighted to have our new Mayor Marvin Rees delivering our welcome message, we have some exciting new courses as well as many current favourites.
Course information will also be live on the website then and you can book and pay online at www.bristolcourses.com
Summer courses still available
We are delighted to be able to offer Woodwork courses once again and there are a couple of places left on the very first course starting NEXT WEEK Monday 6 June at St Pauls 6.45pm to 8.45pm.
Learn some basic woodworking skills whilst making a handy wooden tote box to take home. A good taster course for anyone wanting to have a go at woodwork and a fun course for anyone with woodwork experience who would like to make a useful project.
Mind and Body Awareness through Movement
As part of our Adult Learning and Mental Health project we have a Mind and Body Awareness through Movement running at Redcliffe Methodist Church in Prewett St starting Monday 13 June 11am – 12.30pm. These courses are free as they are funded as part of a research project looking at the impact of learning activities and courses on feelings of wellbeing, mood, anxiety, depression and general mental health.
We have 2 week Holiday Languages courses starting very soon in French, Italian and Spanish. Just enough to help you to brush up and learn a few basics before you jet off to the sun!
I wish you all a lovely summer term and will be in touch again soon to let you know when the course guides have been delivered!
It is a beautiful day here at Stoke Lodge, the sun is out and it is all I can do to stop myself from popping over to the park for a quick go on the swings! Maybe at lunchtime!
