Our classes and workshops give you the opportunity to create your own spectacular piece to incorporate into your home or garden. Throughout our courses you will be given the chance to select your own design and colours with the support and encouragement from our tutor Ruth. See gallery below for samples of work.

Stained-Glass Workshop. Beginners
This course will enable you to design and make your own stained-glass piece of art.
Beginners will be guided through all the stages involved in making a small leaded or copperfoiled panel. They will learn cutting and shaping glass to size, leading, soldering, cementing, and finishing. Improvers will also be accommodated and can plan individual projects with tutor support and learn new techniques. Fee includes classroom sundries; learners can purchase coloured glass, lead and solder from the tutor or from a local supplier.

Stained-Glass Workshop. Intermediates/Advanced
This course is for intermediate and more advanced learners (at least 3 terms of previous learning). You can plan and make a window with one-to-one tuition support. You can learn other techniques such as kiln fired glass painting/stain/enamel, fusing and slumping, copper foil and stained-glass mosaic. Fee includes classroom sundries; learners can purchase coloured glass, lead and solder from the tutor or from a local supplier.

Stained-Glass Saturday. Copper Foil- Dragonfly or Butterfly
This is an easy and fun introduction to stained-glass; you will learn all the stages involved in making a simple copper foil piece. You will design and make a beautiful stained-glass dragonfly or butterfly light catcher to hang in your window, or even to gift a loved one. Fee includes workshop sundries; learners will need to purchase coloured glass and additional solder from tutor at approximate cost £14.

Stained-Glass Summer School 2024
A weeklong Summer School suitable for beginners and improvers. Join us for a week of fun and intensive study! Beginners will be taken step by step through the whole making process to create a simple leaded stained-glass panel. Those with some experience can develop their skills, try new techniques and work on their own project. Fee includes classroom sundries; in addition, learners will need to purchase coloured glass, lead and solder either from the tutor or from a local supplier. The tutor can advise learners before the start of the course. Approximate cost £50- £55 for coloured glass and leads for an A3 sized panel.
