Body and Mind Awareness / Developing Inner Resilience 

How can we positively influence our wellbeing? 

The body and mind are inextricably linked. In order to feel good, it’s important to address both. We will apply gentle exercises, mindfulness and meditation to help us relax in mind and body; strengthening, stretching and developing our inner resilience. This course will be delivered at Stoke Lodge but will move online if necessary using ZOOM.

Intermediate Tai Chi 

If you have done some tai chi before and understand the basic principles, this class is for you.  We will learn sets 1-28 of the Chen Style Form, focusing on body alignment, relaxation, breathing, and whole-body movements. Wear comfortable clothing and flat shoes. This course will be delivered at Stoke Lodge but will move online if necessary using ZOOM.

Tai Chi For Health 

For those new to Tai Chi or wanting to understand the basics of in this fascinating gentle form of exercise, we will learn sets 1-15 of the Chen Style Form, exploring health, strength and balance through good body alignment, relaxation and breathing.  Wear comfortable clothing and flat shoes or trainers.   This course will be delivered at Stoke Lodge but will move online if necessary using ZOOM.

NEW Reiki Healing Level 1 And Attunement 

Reiki is a natural healing energy that works on every level, not just the physical, and is understood to promote the body’s regenerative self- healing ability. In this course, you will explore the basics of Usui Reiki healing and finish with Reiki Level 1 Attunement in the last session.  You will learn to give Reiki healing to your friends, family and of course, yourself.

NEW Self-Massage  

Self-massage is known to promote health and a sense of wellbeing. During this mostly practical course you will focus on a different area of the body each week, learning how to self-massage, fully clothed, to bring about a feeling of relaxation and wellbeing. You will also learn a little bit about the history of massage, touch on anatomy and physiology and explore some of the many benefits of self-massage. The course will be delivered at Stoke Lodge.
