We have several courses in sewing and dressmaking, making the most of your sewing machine (learning how to use all the functions!). So you can make something for your home, for a gift or maybe a unique item of clothing perfectly designed, just for you! These courses are the chance to build skills, create something really special and unique and really enjoy using and creating with textiles.

NEW How To Use Your Sewing Machine-Part 2
This course will build on skills and knowledge learnt in “How To Use Your Sewing Machine“ workshop. You will learn to apply tapes and elastic; create buttonholes and buttons; use different zip applications. You will also explore free machine embroidery with dropped feed-dog. These are some of the techniques that can be covered (depending on learners’ preference). Bring your own sewing machine.

NEW Pattern Cutting For Beginners
Learn to create your own clothing patterns. During this 2-day workshop, you will develop the technical skills and knowledge needed to design and create your very own garment patterns using the flat pattern cutting method. Fee includes a basic pattern cutting kit that you will be able to re-use after the course.

Learning To Sew-And More!
You will learn basic sewing machine skills and techniques to help you make clothes and furnishings. You will also learn to read a pattern and discover some of the essential hand stitches needed to finish off your project. All abilities welcome.

NEW Curtain Making-Intermediates
Learn everything you need to know about making your own curtains. You will develop your sewing skills and at the end of the 2 days, you will take home your own sample curtains to keep and use as a reference point for future projects. Fee includes fabric and materials to make a sample curtain.
