Subject: Jewellery Making
I am a silver and gold smith who has been working in the industry for over 25 years.
My passion first started, when as a child I would spend my free time experimenting with all the many different jewellery tools and equipment in my father’s workshop in the cowshed.
After studying art at college I then went on to work alongside my father in our workshop/shop in Clifton village. Here I improved my skills, created my own ranges and undertook many varied and challenging commissions.
I am passionate about working with metal and exploring its unique qualities. My designs are very organic, drawing inspiration from shapes, patterns and textures found in nature.
My other many varied interests are music, nature, trekking, travelling, exploring the world and festivals. I surround myself with colour and energy at every opportunity.
I love the many different traditional tools I get to work with as a jeweller. Passing on this knowledge about age old traditions has been an inspiration for getting involved in teaching both adult and kids jewellery courses. Everyone loves to hammer!
