Special Announcement: BS9 Arts Trail 7 & 8 June
We are absolutely delighted to be a host venue for next weekend’s BS9 Arts Trail.
The trail is a fantastic opportunity to see a whole range of amazing art and creative work from artists across the BS9 area.
Stoke Lodge will be open for the trail Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June from 11am to 5pm.

Debby Bird
Debby is a full time artist and tutor.
She creates wall images, sculpture, jewellery, prints and cards alongside lecturing and teaching. Her work is often inspired by nature and explores local atmospheres and memories often using layers and textures.
Carolyn Lamb
Carolyn’s paintings and drawings take you on a tour of local landscapes in oils and watercolour.
She is a painter of cliffs, gardens and town and country corners. All work is done on location directly from nature.
Jo Hearn
Jo works in acrylic paint and ink, watercolour and mixed media.
She enjoys splashing paint and ink about, creating semi-abstract images of the beautiful natural world around us. Inspired by sea and landscape, skies and flowers she gets lost and escapes in the wonder of it all.
Elizabeth Dymond
Elizabeth is a textile artist developing small collections exploring themes of legacy, treasure and order through hand embroidery, appliqué, collage, paint and inherited clothing. She has designed her own fabrics but now concentrates
Susie Harvey
Susie Harvey grew up in Devon on the edge of Dartmoor and has always loved the moorlands and coasts of Devon and Cornwall. These places, along with Guernsey still provide much of the inspiration for her work.
Ellie Talay-Minaei
Elham (Ellie) Talay-Minaei is a Watercolour Artist who combines classic techniques with her own modern touch.
While she works with various materials like oil paints and acrylics, Elham’s preference lies in Watercolour.
Rose Lafferty
Portishead based fibre artist Rose Lafferty creates felted pictures under her business name of Rose Felt Inspired.
Her works are influenced by nature and range from seascapes (where powerful waves are a recurring theme) to moorlands, mountains, flowers, animals and birds.
Alison Mazanec
Originally from Australia, Alison finds inspiration in painting critters from her homeland as well as landscapes and still life in both watercolour and oils.
She uses earthy colours and atmospheric brush work to connect with her subjects.
Lucy Winch
Lucy Winch is a scientist and ceramicist who has been making functional stoneware ceramics for over 25 years.
Lucy makes her own glazes and enjoys researching, understanding and teaching glaze and throwing techniques from studios in Bristol and further afield.
Clare Taylor
Clare grew up in the Potteries and threw her first pot on a wheel at the age of 9.
Inspired by nature and by potters old and new, Clare’s work strives to create functional and decorative pieces that combine both aesthetic and tactile qualities.
Plus, we have a fantastic display of paintings, drawings and prints by our very own Adult Learning students!
