We have a wide range of French courses suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced students. Our French language courses for adults at Stoke Lodge in Bristol are designed to help you build your skills with confidence. We also offer French cultural workshops where you can take a day to really immerse yourself in a region, or particular part of the French culture.

Complete Beginners

Just starting out? This course is the perfect introduction if you’ve never studied French before.
You’ll learn essential phrases, pronunciation tips, and how to introduce yourself, ask questions, and navigate simple real-life situations like ordering food, asking directions, or shopping.

Best for: Complete beginners who wants to build confidence from the ground up. No prior experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to have fun with the language.

Beginners Plus

This level is ideal if you already know some basic vocabulary and grammar. You’ll learn more complex phrases, using different tenses, improve your pronunciation, and expand your vocabulary.

Best for: Learners who have studied French for around a year (60 hours) in a classroom setting.
